Job Summary

The Cameraman & Video Editing Specialist plays a central role in documenting, producing, and delivering high-quality audio-visual content that reflects AISRS’s mission, research outputs, events, and strategic media communications. The position is responsible for capturing and producing professional photography and video products, including conferences, high-level dialogues, expert interviews, media briefings, documentary-style reports, and institutional promotional content, ensuring they enhance the Institute’s visibility and credibility at national, regional, and international levels. The role requires a strong understanding of visual storytelling, camera operation, lighting, and audio capture to ensure accuracy, clarity, and professional production standards.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and capture high-quality video and photographic content for AISRS events, including conferences, policy dialogues, interviews, trainings, and field activities
  • Produce audio-visual content for digital TV, radio programs, documentaries, announcements, and promotional materials.
  • Travel to field locations as required for filming assignments.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in video production and photography.
  • Operate professional cameras, audio systems, lighting, and related production equipment.
  • Edit raw footage into high-quality outputs, including full sessions, highlights, interviews, training videos, and short social media content.
  • Enhance video and audio quality, color grading, and visual consistency.
  • Add titles, subtitles, graphics, animations, and AISRS branding elements.
  • Produce multiple formats optimized for web, social media, broadcast, and archiving.
  • Organize, maintain, and update AISRS’s audio-visual archive and video library.
  • Upload, optimize, and publish content across official platforms, ensuring accurate metadata and branding.
  • Maintain, handle, and monitor all audio-visual equipment.
  • Ensure availability of backups and consumables.
  • Support procurement processes related to audio-visual software and equipment.
  • Support live-streaming and hybrid event production for high-level conferences and public dialogues.
  • Provide technical support to speakers, journalists, and guests during events.

Working Conditions

  • Local travel for documentation of meetings, fieldwork, and interviews.
  • Close coordination with research teams, programs, administration, and external partners.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required during events, campaigns, or crisis situations.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Media, Journalism, Film Production, Communication, design or a related field (preferred but not mandatory with strong experience).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Experience

  • 5 years Professional experience in photography, videography, video production, or video editing.
